Former NFL player has been indicted on federal drug possession and conspiracy charges stemming from an alleged drug-dealing network.
Sam Hurd, who was former with the Chicago Bears prior to his release, is currently free on a $100,000 bond. However, he will not be free for long.
He will face between 10-years and life in prison if he’s convicted on the conspiracy charge. He will face an additional 40 years on the possession charge.
He was arrested on December 14th in Chicago. He tried to buy a kilo of cocaine from an undercover cop, which led to his arrest.
He walked out of a Chicago steakhouse with the kilo of cocaine, when he was arrested. He will never play in the NFL again.
