Jacob Karam has found a new home at Memphis.

Two weeks ago, he announced that he narrowed his decision down to three Conference USA schools. He said those schools were Houston, Memphis, and UTEP, but decided to take his talent to Memphis over Houston and UTEP.

Karam has already graduated from Texas Tech after three years, so he will be eligible to play immediately after being a redshirt sophomore. He will have two years remaining to play.

He will start classes at the end of this week and will participate in spring practice. Spring practice is expected to take place in late February.

”The facilities are nice; they exceeded my expectations,” Karam said. ”The weight room is nice; it exceeded my expectations. But what sold me were the people, and it starts with coach Fuente and his staff.”
