Dave Campo has been fired by the Dallas Cowboys again.
For the second time in his career, he was let go by the franchise. He has been the Cowboys secondary coach since 2008.
Campo’s contract expired at the end of the season. He has coached with the Cowboys for 18 of his 23 years in the NFL.
He came to the Cowboys with Jimmy Johnson from the University of Miami in 1989. He was apart of the three Super Bowl teams in the 1990’s.
He was the secondary coach from 1989 to 1994, then defensive coordinator from 1995 to 1999 and head coach from 2000 to 2002. He then moved on to become the defensive coordinator of the Cleveland Browns from 2003 and 2004.
He left the Browns in 2005 to become the Jacksonville Jaguars secondary coach from 2005 to 2007. Then, returned to the Cowboys.
