The Raiders have requested permission to interview Tice. Nearly two weeks ago, he was promoted to the Chicago Bears offensive coordinator after being the offensive line coach.

He was previously the Minnesota Vikings head coach. He had a 32-33 mark with the team, including one playoff appearance, in four years from 2001 to 2005.

In recent years, he has drawn rave reviews by other coaches for his work with the Bears offensive line. Prior to the 2010 season, he was last an offensive line coach with the Vikings from 1997 to 2001.

He is the sixth known candidate to be interviewing for the Raiders job.
