Jim Tressel, the former Ohio State Buckeyes head coach, has an NCAA showcase penalty against him. But he still wants to be involved in college sports.
Tressel is rumored to be considering a job within an Athletic Department, according to ESPN‘s Adam Schefter. It is not clear what the job title is going to be, or if Ohio State or another school is the destination.
He was last the head football coach at Ohio State from 2001 to 2010. He was fired by the school in May 2011.

He was let go after an NCAA investigation showed that he lied about his athletes receiving improper benefits. Months later, the hammer came down against Tressel, as he could not coach at the NCAA for the next several seasons.
Ohio State also vacated all the wins from the 2010 season and gave up several scholarships over the next several years.
Five players were supposed to be suspended for the start of the 2011 season. But Terrelle Pryor decided to leave school before Tressel was fired. The four other players served their penalty.
This past season, Tressel served as a consultant for the Indianapolis Colts. He assisted former head coach Jim Caldwell on instant replay calls from the booth.

Recently, he had two interviews for the Colts head coaching position. But after a search, Colts owner Jim Irsay decided not to hire Tressel for the position.
The Colts decided to hire Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator Chuck Pagano as the next head coach.
