The Houston Texans are the latest team interested in Peyton Manning, according to a Houston report.

KTRK-TV’s Bob Allen says there is a floating rumor that Manning is definitely interested in playing for the Texans. Allen wrote, “Someone I know who is close friends with the Manning family says Peyton is definitely interested in possibly coming to the Texans.”

Allen also wrote that Manning wants to play on a team that has a chance to win the Super Bowl. Allen says the Texans fit that criteria, even when they only have one playoff win in the history of the franchise.

Matt Schaub is in his last year of his contract and is coming off of a Lisfranc fracture. In Houston, he could join an elite running game and passing game with a defense on the rise.

Andre Johnson is a better receiver than he had with Reggie Wayne.
