According to the Associated Press, George Washington is expected to hire Notre Dame assistant coach Jonathan Tsipis. The school has not officially announced the move.

Tsipis has been the top assistant, as the associate head coach, for the past four seasons. He will be introduced as the new head coach on Friday.

He has been an assistant coach at Notre Dame for two National Championship games. On Tuesday night, The Fighting Irish lost to Baylor, 80-61, in their perfect 40-0 season.

He has spent nine seasons as an assistant with Notre Dame. He will replace, once officially hired, Mike Bozeman, who was fired in mid-March by the school.
