Purdue’s Drey Mingo has been granted a sixth year.
Mingo will now be came to play for the women’s basketball team next season. She missed all of last season with a torn ACL.
She came to Purdue after transferring from Maryland her sophomore year. In November 2010, she dealt with a life-threatening case of bacterial meningitis, resulting in partial hearing loss.
She missed four games during the 2010-11 season, but was very limited after dealing with the meningitis issue. She did average 12 points and 5.8 rebounds that year.
