The Pittsburgh Steelers have been very quite this off-season.
The team did not target any of the high-profile free agents when free agency started almost a month ago. But the team has signed their first free agent, an under the radar signing.
The Steelers have signed tight end Leonard Pope to a one-year deal. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Pope has been with Todd Haley in Arizona, Kansas City, and now Pittsburgh. Haley is the Steelers new offensive coordinator.
Pope has been in the NFL for the past six seasons since being drafted out of Georgia in 2006. In five of those six seasons, Pope has called Haley his boss.
