Larry Eustachy is the new Colorado State men’s basketball coach. He was officially introduced by the school, as their 19th head coach of the men’s basketball program.
He replaces Tim Miles, who left to become the head coach at Nebraska.
Eustachy spent eight seasons as the men’s basketball head coach at Southern Mississippi. He helped the Golden Eagles to their first NCAA appearance in 21 years, as a ninth-seed, but lost to Kansas State in their first game. The Golden Eagles were 25-9 this season.

“In Larry Eustachy, Colorado State has one of the most well-respected minds in college basketball,” Athletic Director Jack Graham said. “Larry has been highly successful at every stop throughout his career. I know that he is the right man to lead Colorado State to new heights.”
Eustachy has head coaching experience at Idaho, Utah State, and Iowa State.
Before coming to Colorado State, he had been with the Golden Eagles since the 2004-05 season. He went 142-113 at the school.
He guided the Golden Eagles to the aforementioned 25-9 record this past season. This was the team’s best record during his tenure.

Eustachy also went 101-59 with the Cyclones. He was 98-53 with the Aggies. And he went 61-33 with the Vandals.
During the 1999-00 season, he guided the Cyclones to the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament Elite Eight. They lost 75-64 to the No. 1 seed Michigan State Spartans.
