Dwight Howard is undergoing surgery this morning.

He will undergo surgery on a herniated disc in his back. He is will miss the rest of this season and potentially the Olympics this summer.

He has missed the last six games with this herniated disc issue. He has missed eight games this season, which is more games than he’s had in the past seven seasons combined.

He was averaging 20.6 points and 14.5 rebounds per game prior to being injured. The 14.5 rebounds were a league-best.

The Magic have clinched a playoff berth; however, their seeding is to be determined. Right now, they are currently in the sixth seed.

They are 3-5 without Howard this season.
