Keith Brown has been hired as the new Georgetown women’s basketball head coach.
The official announcement has not been announced yet. It is expected to take place in the coming days.
He has served as an assistant at the school for the past five years. He takes over for Terri Williams-Flournoy, who took over the head coaching job at Auburn.
The Hoyas went 23-9 and advanced to the NCAA Tournament, where they lost in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
In eight years under Williams-Flournoy, the team went 143-104. Brown came to Georgetown in 2007 after being an AAU coach for 11 years.
