The Pacific men’s basketball team will be looking for a new head coach after the 2012-13 season.

Current head coach Bob Thomason has announced that he will retire after this upcoming season. He is the Big West’s all-time wins leader.

He will begin this season with 414 career wins. He has 234 wins within the conference.

“I have had an unbelievable experience coaching at Pacific for the past 24 years,” said Thomason, who called the opportunity to coach for a 25th year “a true pleasure.”

At the school, he has been a part of 470 wins, both as a head coach and as a player. He has won 75% of the school’s games at home, including nine 20-win seasons.
