Denver Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas will be lighter than he was last year.
Thomas said he has lost some weight. He has currently lost five pounds and hopes to lose five more pounds by the start of the season.
“I actually trimmed down a little to 228,” Thomas said. “I played 232 last year. I want to play at 222.”
Thomas hopes that cutting weight will increase his explosive play. He was already a pretty explosive player, even at 230 pounds.
He averaged 20.2 yards per catch last season.
