Green Bay Packers wide receiver Donald Driver is expected to be back with the team next season.
He took a revised contract with the team at $2.5 million this upcoming season. He will receive $500,000 up front.
He took a $1.8 million dollar pay cut to stay with the Packers. He would have made $4.3 million in his old contract without the pay cut.
A few days ago, Driver said he would like to play a few more seasons with the Packers.
“I’m not going anywhere. I’ve always said I want to retire a Packer. I think the organization knows that,” said Driver. “So we’re going to come together and we’re going to make a decision. One, two more years and then I’m going to put the cleats on the shelf, sit back and relax in Dallas with my family.”
