Dan LeFevour, a former Central Michigan Chippewas quarterback, has signed with the Hamilton Tiger Cats in the Canadian Football League.

Earlier this year, he was cut by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the National Football League. He also had a tryout with the New York Giants, as well.

“I bounced around the NFL for two years with a bunch of teams and I was sick of just standing around — I want to play the game,” he said. “Football is my identity to a certain extent and I want to continue with it as long as I can.”

Former Texas Longhorns quarterback Vince Young was the other to do it.

Former teammate Ike Brown is also a linebacker with the Tiger Cats.

In his collegiate career, he went 1,171-of-1,763 for 12,905 yards with 102 touchdowns and 36 interceptions. He had a 142.9 quarterback rating in 53 games.

He also had 671 carries for 2,948 yards in his career with an additional 47 scores.
