The Philadelphia Soul will watch the road through the Eastern Conference go through the Wells Fargo Center in South Philadelphia. With a win this past weekend, the Soul clinched the 2012 Eastern Division champion.

In addition, they clinched home-field advantage throughout the American Conference playoffs. The first-round playoff game is expected to take place between July 27-29 at home.

It will be the first playoff game hosted at home since the 2008 championship season. The team returned to the Arena Football League last year after the team folded following their championship game win over the San Jose SaberCats.

“At the beginning of the season, we said that we have an order in which we need to achieve our goals,” said Soul head coach Doug Plank. “Make the playoffs, win our division, secure home-field advantage, win our home playoff games, make it to the ArenaBowl and win the championship. With this news, it looks like we accomplished half of those goals this weekend. But, the task now will be to remain focused and complete the mission.”
