There were speculation on Friday on Twitter that Philadelphia Soul fullback Derrick Ross was going to sign with the Philadelphia Eagles.
However, according to Philadelphia Soul general manager Tom Goodhines, that is not true. Ross will not be playing for the Eagles.
Ross is in his first year with the Soul after coming over from the Dallas Vigilantes. In his first season in the City of Brotherly Love, he has rushed for 481 yards on 122 carries.
He has also rushed for 27 touchdowns. Last season, he had 39 touchdowns with the Vigilantes after rushing for 622 yards on a 167 carries.
Prior to arriving in the Arena Football League in 2011, he played for the San Angelo Stampede in 2010. He was on the 2009 Winnipeg Blue Bombers and 2008 Montreal Alouettes practice squad.
He also played in the NFL Europe in 2007 with Cologne Centurions. He spent one season in the NFL with the Kansas City Chiefs.
