The Minnesota Vikings have lost a former member of their family.
Former general manager Mike Lynn has passed away. He was 76-years-old, and was in failing health.
“The Vikings are deeply saddened by the passing of Mike Lynn,” the team said in a statement. “He was instrumental in the success of the Vikings for many years. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Lynn family in this difficult time.”
At the time of his death, he was living in the Memphis area. He was the general manager of the Vikings from 1975 to 1990.
