Kyle O’Quinn thought he was going to be teammates with Dwight Howard.
Now, he is going to have new teammates after Howard was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers in a blockbuster deal. O’Quinn signed an undisclosed contract with the Orlando Magic.
He was selected with the 49th overall pick in this past June’s NBA draft. He was drafted out of Norfolk State, and had 8.8 points and 6.2 rebounds in the Orlando Pro Summer League.
At Norfolk State, he averaged 12.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks in a 129 games.
