The Seattle Seahawks would like to trade one of their quarterbacks. No, they are not willing to get rid of Matt Flynn, nor are they willing to trade Russell Wilson.
But they are willing to trade Tarvaris Jackson. He signed with the Seahawks in July 2011.
He signed a two-year, $8 million dollar deal, which included a $1.5 million signing bonus.
Jackson is on the outside looking in with Flynn expected to get his second straight preseason start. The Seahawks may be able to get a late-round pick for Jackson.
Should the Seahawks not be able to find a suitor, he would be released. Teams may bulk at his $4 million salary for this season.
Jackson just completed his first season with the Seahawks after beginning his career with the Minnesota Vikings, where he spent the first five-years 0f his career. In Seattle, he made 15 appearances, including 14 starts, as he went 7-7.
He went 271-of-450 for 3,091 passing yards. He also had 14 touchdowns and 13 interceptions.
As an NFL starter, he is 17-17 between the Vikings and the Seahawks. His best season in 2007 when he went 8-4 in 12 games with the Vikings.
Yet, the 3,091 passing yards were the most passing yards in a season.
