The New England Patriots have made a trade with the St. Louis Rams to add a wide receiver.
The Patriots acquired second-year wide receiver Greg Salas from the Rams in the trade. In exchange, the Rams acquired a conditional 2015 draft pick.
Salas is reuniting with offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, who helped draft Salas last year when he was the Rams offensive coordinator. Salas was the 112th overall pick in last year’s draft.
He is expected to be the Patriots 5th receiver entering the season. However, he can be used as an outside and slot receiver.
He broke his leg in week 9 of last season and had 22 receptions for 216 yards in four games before his injury.
