The Seattle Seahawks have re-signed running back Marshawn Lynch. The talented back has signed a four-year extension.
Lynch will receive $18 million in guaranteed money from this deal. Overall, he could make $32 million if he reaches all incentives.

The Seahawks said that they were going to franchise tag Lynch if the two sides could not reach a long-term agreement. Now, the team will not have to use the franchise tag on Lynch and can use it on another player.

In this new deal, the Seahawks reportedly included an “out” clause in the deal. This means, if Lynch’s play starts to decline, they could get out of his contract without facing heavy ramifications.
Lynch came to Seattle, Washington on October 10th, 2010. He was acquired in a trade with the Buffalo Bills.
He was acquired after just three games of the 2010 season.
Lynch is entering his second full season and third season overall with the Seahawks.

His best game of the 2011 season came in a 31-14 win against the Philadelphia Eagles on December 1st, 2011. Lynch had 22 carries for 148 yards and two touchdowns.
This was the only game of the season that he rushed for more than 140 yards. And the second game, where he had two rushing touchdowns. He also had two rushing touchdowns several games later on December 18th in a 38-14 win against the Chicago Bears on the road.
