Tennessee Titans quarterback Matt Hasselbeck is the starting quarterback for one more week.
Head coach Mike Munchak made the decision on Monday by saying Hasselbeck will start in Week 8 against the Indianapolis Colts. This must mean that Jake Locker’s shoulder injury needs one more week of rest.
While being the starter, Hasselbeck has sparked back-to-back wins against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday Night Football on the NFL Network and yesterday against the Buffalo Bills.
He is averaging 6.5 yards per pass attempt since taking the job over again and has committed only one turnover, while moving the offense down the field. He gives the Titans more stability right now over the injured Locker.
After the Colts game, the Titans face the Chicago Bears and the Miami Dolphins. Those teams have very good defenses.
The Titans can move into a 4-4 record and second place in the AFC South with a win over the Colts.
