The Jacksonville Jaguars will be without their starting running back Maurice Jones-Drew for a while.
It is not immediately known how long he will be out, except that he will be sidelined for an extended period. Head coach Mike Mularkey is only saying an extended period and won’t say exactly how long.
He has already been ruled out for Week 8. The loss is going to affect the Jaguars struggling offense, which struggled mightily without MJD and starting quarterback Blaine Gabbert in the second half yesterday.
There is speculation that Jones-Drew’s injury is a Lisfranc injury, but we will have to wait for a final determination to be made. But the injury is definitely in the middle of Jones-Drew’s foot.
Rashad Jennings is expected to fill in for Jones-Drew until he is able to return.
