Veteran race car driver Ken Schrader has signed a NASCAR Sprint Cup contract to run a partial schedule next year. Schrader will be driving Frank Stoddard’s No. 32 car for 10 races this upcoming season.

At press time, it is unclear which races he’ll be competing in during next season. The team will announce that in the weeks ahead.

“We run 28th or 32nd most of the time, but we still have fun out there racing, well, I guess we have fun out there running around,” Schrader said. “We’re going to run 10 races next year. The only bad thing about that is that it shoots the hell out of 10 weekends that we could be out running the modified somewhere.”

He will also race in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series on July 24th at Eldora Speedway in Ohio. It will be the series’ first race on a dirt track.

“We’re putting a truck together to go over and run the race at Eldora,” Schrader said.

He competed in the two Martinsville races, finishing 22nd and 21st. He also finished 33rd at Fontana.

The veteran driver also finished 33rd at Fort Worth and 32nd at Richmond. He also finished 28th at Darlington and 30th at Michigan.

He also failed to qualify for the 2011 Jeff Byrd 500 Presented by Food City on March 20th, 2011, at Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tennessee.

Schrader last competed in the NASCAR Truck Series during the 2010 season when he competed in nine races.
