The Los Angeles Galaxy are in the mist of change.  While one superstar has decided to leave in David Beckham and a question mark still remains with Landon Donovan, who is rumored to sign a deal overseas, the team has traded one of its better players.

The Galaxy has traded striker Edson Buddle to the Colorado Rapids. In exchange for Buddle, the Rapids sent their first round draft pick in the 2013 MLS SuperDraft and allocation money to Los Angeles.

He returned to the Galaxy in February after playing one year with Bundesliga 2 side FC Ingolstadt. In 28 games with Ingolstadt, he scored three goals.

During the 2012 season with the Galaxy, he had three goals in 19 appearances.

In his Major League Soccer career, the 31-year-old has played for the Columbus Crew, New York Red Bulls, Toronto FC, and Galaxy. He’s appeared in 250 career games and had 93 goals.

The New York native has also appeared on several United States men’s soccer national teams. On the Under-20 team in 2001, he had two goals in six games.

On the Under-23 team from 2002 to 2003, he had three goals in four games. From 2003 to 2011, he had three goals in 11 caps with the National team.
