Chicago Bears wide receiver and returner Devin Hester says he is considering retirement.
Hester might be reacting after the team fired its head coach Lovie Smith today. Perhaps, he was just talking about retiring as a wide receiver.
It is no surprise that the Bears are shocked and saddened by Smith’s firing after losing their longtime leader. If he doesn’t retire, the Bears could release him since he is due a big roster bonus in the off-season.
He had 23 catches for 242 yards. He had one all-purpose touchdown in 15 games.
