Dallas Cowboys outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware said he needs off-season surgery to recover from several injuries.
Ware said he would need surgery on both his right shoulder and elbow in the coming months. These injuries reduced him to a shell of his normal shelf down the stretch.
He was mostly limited to passing downs in the Cowboys loss to the Washington Redskins on Sunday Night Football on NBC. According to Pro Football Focus, Ware was rated as one of the best 3-4 linebackers, even with the injuries.
He has never missed a game in his eight-year career.
