Timberwolves forward Kevin Love has been injured again.
This is the second setback that he has had this season to one of his hands. This time around, he had re-fractured the third metacarpal in his right hand.
He was informed of the damage after an MRI was taken on his right hand. The injury, according to reports, happened in the third quarter of the Timberwolves 101-97 win over the Denver Nuggets.
He will meet with Dr. Andy Weiland, who is a hand specialist, who works for the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. After that meeting, he will be informed of how long he will be out and before he will be able to return to action.
In the preseason, he fractured the same hand, with the third and fourth metacarpal, in a loss to the Chicago Bulls.
He was averaging 18.3 points per game and 14 rebounds per game. He also leads the team with 14 double-doubles on the season.
