GEICO Honda pro Hahn to throw out first pitch at Angels game

ANAHEIM, Calif. – Wil Hahn is no stranger to being the center of attention in a baseball stadium full of people. When Hahn claimed the 250SX East championship for GEICO Honda in the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series this year, he took center stage plenty of times.

On July 3, Hahn will be back at Angels Stadium at Anaheim, the annual home of the Supercross season opener, but this time he won’t be on a motorcycle.

In celebration of his championship season, Hahn has been selected to throw out the ceremonial first pitch when the Angels take on the St. Louis Cardinals.

“I am really excited to be throwing out the first pitch at the Angels game,” Hahn said. “This is something people dream about and I am truly honored Major League Baseball is giving me this opportunity.”

Hahn said his Supercross season, in which he won twice and finished no worse than third, went by like a whirlwind.

“The whole season was a dream come true, but I would say my best memory is from my first win,” Hahn said. “That was an incredible feeling I will never take for granted. This season and my time as a part of the GEICO Honda team has changed my life forever.

“I’ve been able to represent GEICO in a number of different ways in a lot of different settings. Throwing out this first pitch has got to be the most exciting of them all. I hope I throw a strike that day. If I bounce it up there I’ll never hear the end of it.”
