The New York Giants are the latest team to receive the injury bug.

20130818-200119.jpgThe Giants took a hit when Victor Cruz went down in the first quarter of tonight’s Sunday Night Football game against the Indianapolis Colts. He left the game with a foot injury.

He has been ruled out for the rest of the game. And he is currently awaiting X-ray results to find out serious the injury is.

He was injured when he ran a vertical route into double coverage. The play would result into a penalty flag, as the play happened deep in the Colts territory.

While it is possible he could be sitting, as a precaution, one will not know how badly he is hurt until the X-rays come back. Those should be back after the game, then an official announcement would be made on how injured he is.
