Adam Dunn is considering walking away from baseball after this season. The 33-year-old Chicago White Sox slugger said on Tuesday night that he could retire after the season.

But money talks and it would be extremely hard to walk away from $15 million guaranteed next season. However, this does show that he is not enjoying the game, which could lead to him walking away.

He has 30 home runs and 79 RBIs in 129 games.

“I’m not coming back just to come back for money or because I have one year left (on his contract),” Dunn said. “I’m not coming back to chase home-run numbers or whatever. If I end up with 499 and I’m not having fun, see ya — 499 it is.”

He is not even close to 499 home runs yet. He has 436 home runs in 13 years since the 2001 season.

He only had 4 seasons, where he had less than 30 home runs in a season. His first three seasons included 19 home runs, 26 home runs, and 27 home runs.

Then in 2011, he struggled in 122 games, where he hit just 11 home runs. He has a career of .239 batting average with 436 home runs and 1,097 RBIs in 1,850 games with the Cincinnati Reds, Arizona Diamondbacks, Washington Nationals, and White Sox.
