The Los Angeles Lakers did not know when their star Kobe Bryant will return to the lineup.
This summer, they thought he could return for the season opener later this month. However, that will not be the case, and some have said that he may return in December now.
Today, Bryant has said that he had to scale back from his increased workouts from his Achilles tendon injury. He said that his Achilles is still tight, and that he scaled back his workouts in order to loosen up the Achilles.
He recently worked out with the Lakers, as they made the trip to China. He was doing some shooting drills and running, but hasn’t progressed into sprinting yet, because of the tightness in his Achilles.
He is doubtful at the moment to start opening night.
Last season before his injury, he played in 78 games, where he averaged 27.3 points. He got hurt late last year and missed the playoffs, while the San Antonio Spurs swept the Lakers in the first round of the playoffs.
