Southern California senior defensive end Morgan Breslin has seen his season come to an end.

Breslin will miss the rest of the season, and will have to have hip surgery in the coming weeks. Once he has successful hip surgery, there is a chance that he could return to the Trojans.

However, while interim head coach Ed Orgeron has left the door open, there’s a slim chance that Breslin could return to the Trojans bowl game. The team became bowl eligible after defeating Oregon State, 31-14, last Friday night.

The Trojans presently stand at 6-3 on the season. They face California Berkeley on Saturday at 3 pm eastern time, which Breslin will miss.

Saturday’s game will be the third straight game that Breslin will miss.

He transitioned into a good stand up edge rusher this season. On the season, he has 15 tackles and 4.5 sacks.
