The Charlotte Bobcats have struggled out of the gates this season. They are 8-11 on the year, and have lost back-to-back game.
Now, the team has suffered damaging injury to one of their best young players. Former second overall pick Michael Kidd-Gilchrist suffered a broken left hand in Tuesday night’s game against the Dallas Mavericks.
Kidd-Gilchrist is the latest NBA player to suffer a broken hand.
He could miss a few weeks to a few months, depending on how badly it is broken. And how long it takes to heal.
With MKG out of action, the Bobcats could move Jeff Taylor into the starting lineup. Anthony Tolliver could see increased time off of the bench, as well.
This was his first game back in the lineup after dealing with plantar fasciitis. And he was struggling as he was dealing with this injury.
MKG was averaging 9.3 points per game with 5.4 rebounds per game in 17 games.
