Del Rio suffered the concussion in his match with fellow superstar Sin Cara. According to WWE physician Dr. Chris Amann, Del Rio suffered the injury from a top-rope sunset flip powerbomb.

He was diagnosed with a concussion after the match. And now, Del Rio will have to go through an ImPACT test to determine how long he will be out.

He could be held out of action until after Christmas, depending on how he does on the ImPact test. This is the second known concussion that Del Rio has had within the past two years, as he had a concussion in June 2012, as well.

The WWE TLC (Tables, Ladders, and Chairs) Pay-Per-View in Houston this Sunday will not be affected by Del Rio’s absence. He is not slated to appear at the event, and is expected to make his appearance on the Pay-Per-View scene at the Royal Rumble next month.
