The Brooklyn Nets are struggling under first year head coach Jason Kidd.
The Nets are near the bottom of the Eastern Conference. And many question if Kidd should be the Nets head coach.
Now, the Nets have lost center Brook Lopez for the season with a broken foot. He is the latest injury to the Nets season, who has seen many injuries to its players all season long.
Lopez injured his foot during overtime last night. However, he did have movement in his foot after the season, which made others believe that his injury was not a serious injury.
However, as the news came out this morning, he has a serious injury and will miss a long period of time. Prior to this injury, he missed nine games this season due to ankle injuries.
When he played, he was averaging 20.7 points and 56.3 percent from the field. He also was a defensive presence for the Nets.
With Lopez out, the Nets will have to go with a combination of players if they cannot make a trade or sign a veteran. Right now, Reggie Evans, Andray Blatche, Mason Plumlee, and Kevin Garnett will rotate minutes at the center position.
The team recently got Paul Pierce and Deron Williams back to try to improve on their 9-17 record. But Andrei Kirilenko and Jason Terry join Lopez on the injured list and have no return in sight.
