The New York Knicks have been struggling in the first part of this year’s NBA season.
Some have even called for head coach Mike Woodson to be fired. And while Woodson is still the head coach, the team is expected to get their superstar back on Christmas Day.
The Christmas gift to Knicks fans would be to see Anthony play against the Oklahoma City Thunder at Madison Square Garden. While Anthony wants to return, he said that he’s hard-headed when it comes to injuries.
Anthony was seen with a limp as he left the arena tonight. And he also limped to the locker room after suffering a sprained left ankle in the third quarter.
Before leaving the game, he had 19 points with 3 rebounds and two assists against the Orlando Magic.
At the moment, he is listed as questionable for Wednesday’s game. If things change with Anthony’s ankle, J.R. Smith would be asked to shoot more.
Smith would also get more time, along with Iman Shumpert. Tim Hardaway Jr, a rookie, will be asked to contribute on the scoring end, as well.
