The Bowling Green Falcons are trying to win the Little Caesars Bowl for interim head coach Adam Scheier.

If they are able to beat Pittsburgh, they would become the 4th MAC Champion to win a bowl game with an interim head coach. Scheier replaced Dave Clawson, who left after the MAC Championship game in early December to accept the Wake Forest head football position.

The game is currently tied at 27 each with less than 5 minutes left in the game. But early in the game, the Falcons kick returner Jerry “Booboo” Gates had a 94-yard kickoff return for a touchdown to tie the game at 17 each right after halftime.

Gates kickoff return for a touchdown tied the school record for the longest kickoff return. The record was originally set in 1997 by Leon Weathersby.
