The Oklahoma City Thunder are without their starting point guard once again.

The Thunder were without Russell Westbrook with an injury during their 2012-13 playoffs. Now, the Thunder will be without Westbrook for at least two months.

Westbrook has underwent scope surgery on his knee today. Now, he will be out until at least the All-Star break.

The surgery was performed to help Westbrook reduce the swelling in his knee. With his latest setback, this is his third surgery on his knee.

He did not miss a single game in his career, before being hurt in the first round of last season’s playoffs.

With Westbrook out, Reggie Jackson will take over as the Thunder point guard. He is already being considered for being the Most Improved Player of this young season.

Also with Westbrook out, Kevin Durant’s efficiency is expected to suffer. His efficiency was already down a bit before this news came today.

Jeremy Lamb is expected to get increased time, as well. The Thunder are presently 23-5 and are 2nd in the Northwest Division.
