The Minnesota Vikings could be the next team to hire their head coach. On Monday, the Tennessee Titans hired Ken Whisenhunt as their head coach.
And on Tuesday, the Detroit Lions settled on Jim Caldwell as their new head coach. The Vikings had a second interview with Cincinnati Bengals defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer on Tuesday.

And Zimmer will stay in Minnesota through Wednesday. It is unclear if his second interview will lead past midnight and into Wednesday.

Zimmer is the lone candidate to have a second interview. He has yet to be offered the Vikings head coaching job.
The Vikings are expected to hire their next head coach within the past 24 hours. If Zimmer is hired, he will replace Leslie Frazier.
After being fired by the Vikings, Frazier was recently hired as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive coordinator.
The Bengals would have to replace both coordinators this off-season if Zimmer gets the Vikings job. Former offensive coordinator Jay Gruden was hired by the Washington Redskins last week.
Zimmer has been the Bengals defensive coordinator since 2008. Before being named the Bengals defensive coordinator, he spent one season as the Atlanta Falcons defensive coordinator in 2007.
He also was the Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator from 2000 through 2006. He also was the Cowboys defensive backs coach from 1995 through 1999.
Zimmer spent the 1994 season as the Cowboys’ defensive assistant/nickel coach.
Before joining the Cowboys, Zimmer was the Washington State Cougars defensive coordinator from 1989 through 1993. He also spent time with the Weber State Wildcats from 1981-1988.
