The Minnesota Vikings could be the next team to hire their head coach.

On Monday, the Tennessee Titans hired Ken Whisenhunt as their head coach. And on Tuesday, the Detroit Lions settled on Jim Caldwell as their new head coach.

The Vikings had a second interview with Cincinnati Bengals defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer on Tuesday. And Zimmer will stay in Minnesota through Wednesday.

It is not clear if his second interview will lead into Wednesday. Zimmer is the lone candidate to have a second interview, and he has yet to be offered the Vikings head coaching job.

The Vikings are expected to hire their next head coach within the past 24 hours. If Zimmer is hired, he would replace Leslie Frazier.

After being fired by the Vikings, Frazier was recently hired to be the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive coordinator.

The Bengals would have to replace both coordinators this off-season if Zimmer gets the Vikings job. Former offensive coordinator Jay Gruden was hired by the Washington Redskins last week.
