Wisconsin men’s basketball head coach Bo Ryan will be making his first trip to the Final Four.

Ryan is guided the Badgers to their first Final Four appearance since the 2000 season. Michigan State would defeat Wisconsin, 53-41, in the national semi-finals 14 years ago.

The Badgers will find out who they will face in the final of the West and Midwest region to go to the Championship game. Wisconsin will face the winner of Kentucky and Michigan on Saturday, April 5th at AT&T Stadium.

The Badgers will be making their third Final Four appearance. And first under Ryan, who has been the the Badgers head coach since the 2001 season.

Before the big win, Ryan had a 703 wins. It was tied for the 6th most by a Division 1 head coach without reaching the Final Four.

Now, he can not longer hear that. And he will be coaching in his first Final Four with his father with him in spirit. Ryan lost his father Butch on August 2013.
