The St. Louis Cardinals could sign former New York Mets reliever Pedro Feliciano.
The 37-year-old has been working out at the Cardinals spring training facility in hopes of signing with the team. Reports indicate that he’ll work out for the team for a couple of weeks before the team decides what to do with him next.
If they sign him, he will sign a minor league deal. Then, he will have to work his way up to the majors once again.
He had a 3.97 ERA in 25 appearances last season with the Mets. Prior to last season, he missed the previous two seasons due to shoulder injuries.
He was a member of the Mets from 2002-2010, before the return last year. He has pitched in 484 games with a 22-21 record with 4 saves and a 103 holds in 383.2 innings.
