Jaylen Watkins is just a fourth round pick by the Philadelphia Eagles. However, one publication already believes that he could be a starter.
According to Philly Magazine, they wouldn’t rule out Watkins beating out CB Bradley Fletcher for a starting position. Fletcher starting opposite of Cary Williams last season.
The rookie is 5-foot-11 and a 194 pounds. Plus, with his build, he has the size to play outside.
Fletcher is a strong press-man corner, and had a good season alongside Williams. He is also 6-foot and a 196 pounds.
Watkins will have to break out on special teams, before he competes for snaps. This is the only likely corner position available for competition.
Williams has his corner position locked up. As does Brandon Boykin with nickel duties.
