Earlier this week, Landon Donovan was left off the United States National Team. United States National team head coach Jurgen Klinsmann said that Donovan was a little slower than those that he picked for the team.

Why he may feel that way, one may never know. Yet, the star soccer player has set a milestone in Major League Soccer.

He has become the MLS all-time leading goal scorer. He scored his 135th goal tonight against the Philadelphia Union.

Donovan scored his record-setting goal in the 49th minute. His goal gave the Los Angeles Galaxy a 2-0 lead over the Union.

The Galaxy currently hold a 3-0 lead in the 78th minute.

With his 135th goal, Donovan surpassed Jeff Cunningham.
