“I feel great,” Busch said. “I have to forget that I already ran 500 miles. I’m amped up on Monster right now.”
Now he is getting ready for NASCAR’s longest race of the season. He is riding 1,100 miles at more than 200 mph in one day.
He is the fourth driver to race the 1,100 miles at the Indianapolis 500 and the Coca-Cola 600. Robby Gordon was the last driver to do so back in 2004.
While there have been four who attempted this feat, only Tony Stewart completed the double. He did that back in 2001 when he finished sixth at IMS and third at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Busch has one win in his career at the Coca-Cola 600.
The long-time NASCAR driver is coming into the longest race of the season after finished 29th in the last race at Kansas.

While he has struggled lately in his last five races, Busch does have one win this season. That came in the sixth race of the season at Martinsville.
Since that time, he has finished 39th, 31st, 23rd, 33rd, and 29th in the last race.
