“It’s a very special race to be part of and I guess the million-dollar question is will I be back?,” Busch said. “I’d love to be back, and I had so much fun. The key to all of this was the blindfold and they took it off right at the end of the race and I ended up sixth.”
Busch was running seventh when a caution came out with 10 laps to go. He escaped the accident.
Following the red flag, the drivers battled in a six-lap shootout.
“Proud to have him this month,” Car Owner Michael Andretti said of Busch’s performance. “He did a really good job. He came in here with the right mindset. He came in with a lot of experience, but still coming in with the mindset of a rookie. Went to school and was a great student.
“You could tell the way he ran the first part of the race he fell back, but you could tell he was learning. When he started feeling confident, he started picking them off.”
While Busch had a good performance, he has to get mentally prepared to compete in NASCAR’s longest race of the year. He will take a helicopter, then plane to Charlotte, North Carolina.
Once he arrives in North Carolina, he will take a helicopter to Charlotte Motor Speedway to get to his NASCAR ride.
We will have to wait and see how Busch does in the Coca Cola 600.
“What an unbelievable experience,” Busch said. “It was a dream come true to drive an Andretti Autosport car at Indy. I’m sure the car was a top five car.”

Andretti said this may happen in the future if the sides could agree to do it again.
“I think everybody on the team really liked having him,” he said. “Maybe we’ll do it again sometime.”
