Newton and Sherman to battle for the cover athlete of Madden 15

The Madden Cover finalists have been announced.

Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton and Seattle Seahawks corner back Richard Sherman are the finalists. Both are finalists for the first time.

Fans must go to the Madden Cover Vote at The winner will be announced on June 6th.

Both Sherman and Newton are No. 1 seeded players meeting in the final.

Sherman defeated Colin Kaepernick 65% to 35% to advance to the final. On the other hand, Newton defeated Andrew Luck 56% to 44% in the semifinals.

The winner will be the cover athlete of “Madden 15,” the popular video game.

No Panthers player has been on the Madden cover. The Seawhawks has had one previous player in Shaun Alexander, who was on “Madden 07.”
