Pedregon has the fastest time in NHRA history at the moment and must run a 3.999 for the record

Englishtown, NJ – The Snap-on Funny Car driver Cruz Pedregon is the Friday night No. 1 qualifier at the NHRA SummerNationals.

Pedregon ran the fastest time ever in Funny Car history at the moment. He has to run a 3.999 to back up the record and make it official.

Pedregon went 3.959 seconds at 310.48 mph for the No. 1 qualifier position. Del Worsham is the No. 2 qualifier after going 3.994 seconds at 321.04 mph.

Robert Hight, who has been to six final rounds this season, is in the No. 3 position. He went 4.014 seconds at 316.45 mph.

John Force is in the 4th position, and went 4.015 seconds at 310.48 mph. Alexis DeJoria, who won her first two career wins this season, is slated for the 5th position at 4.017 seconds at 314.31 mph.

There are five drivers that are out of the show, as of right now. Chad Head is in the 13th position at 4.093 at 310.13 mph. Bob Tasca III is 14th at 4.129 at 303.64 mph.

Tony Pedregon, who is Cruz’s brother, is in the 15th position. He is 4.160 at 260.31. Both Mike Smith and Terry Haddock are the final two drivers in the 16th and 17th positions, respectively.
